About

Cleaning Programs

We have spent time teaching the children in Honduras about the importance of taking care of their planet. We explain how it is a step-by-step project which builds into daily conscious changes. For example: cleaning their room leads to helping around the house, then cleaning the house leads to helping at school, and finally, cleaning their school leads to cleaning their community.

We have to start taking initiative and we tie it into the concept that growing our relationship with God takes baby steps too. Hearing about him leads to accepting him, accepting him grows to spending time with him – reading the Bible, joining the church – and spending time with him grows to telling the world about His good news.

Then we take the kids out with black trash bags and safety gloves, and we take them into the community to clean. They then see the effects of their work and get excited about see that level of clean and beautiful in more areas in their community. They are amazed by the amount of trash and the new results of cleaning up their world. We also take the youth/young adult ministry out to clean the streets to help set a good example!

Outreach Programs and Education

We go into the schools and serve the local students by telling them about the Love of God, playing games, bringing snacks, and classroom supplies. We also work with the local ministries to assist with sport camps and technology classes when we can. We have also assisted with their young lady’s youth and women’s ministry by hosting tea parties and discussing how God sees them and values them. On top of that, we serve with the youth and young adult ministry to do outreach and invitation at the local nighttime high schools. Finally, we orchestrate bringing kids to camp to do vacation Bible school which involves doing a weeklong Bible lesson focused on specific messages or truths from God. Highschool students also get involved and are given the opportunity to participate in an overnight sleepover at the camp to teach them about God, play games, worship time, talent show, abstinence talks, and mini sermons.

Make Memories

We work hard on our mission trips, but we get to play too! On our “off work” days we visit the bird sanctuary, butterfly sanctuary, beach, lake, or the sunflower fields to experience the wonders of god’s creation and remind us of why we work so hard to teach about community clean ups. These visits heighten our team’s appreciation for the work we do with the kids. Since our teams also include students who want to do god’s work, we love introducing them to different cultures and history by visiting places such as the ancient Copan Mayan ruins. We do something different every year to make sure that those who go on multiple missions get a new and wonderful experience every year!

We are based in the U.S. but will serve at La Entrada de Copan, Honduras!

I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.
