Our Ministry Board

Carolyne Carter
President
I have been married to my husband, Tyler Carter since August of 2014. We have two beautiful children, Brinley (7) and Ryan (5). I am also a public school teacher in my state. I have served in the local church for about ten years in different capacities. I have been a member of three different missions, and I have been leading missions since 2022. I first heard the call to the mission ministry in 2013, in Alaska. I then went on my next two trips in 2015 to Honduras. In 2022, post-COVID, we began our mission ministry in Honduras, where I began leading annual ministry teams to serve the people there with my family. We decided to open H.O.P.E Mission Ministry when additional opportunities were presented to serve in more than just Honduras. I am a firm believer that if Jesus came to serve and not be served, we should also be serving locally and abroad. Our hope is to provide avenues for mission ministry and serve all of the people of the world, sharing the Hope that can be found in Christ Jesus.

Tyler Carter
Vice-President
My name is Tyler Carter. I’m Carolyne’s husband and we have two wonderful children Brinley and Ryan. I believe this mission is God ordained and I have watched Him Bless it when I thought things were not going the way I thought they should go. Jesus is the God of making the impossible possible! I’m just honored to be able to participate in His plan. He will determine how far and wide this organization will go. I love the people in Honduras, and I love seeing how much they love God as well! Of course, I would love to see Jesus spread into nearby countries and in the US and for it take off like wildfire. We are the hands and feet of the Lord, and we are trying to fulfill the Great Commission and spread the gospel to all people so they will learn of the great love of Jesus.

Brianne Butler
Secretary
My name is Brianne Jones. I am a resident of Gaffney, SC which is located in the Upstate of South Carolina. I am currently working as an Athletic Trainer at USC Upstate. I have been serving as a missionary for three years now when I was first called to Honduras in 2022. Honduras really opened my eyes to serving others and spreading the word of Jesus to those that might never hear the word otherwise. When the opportunity came up for us to grow our mission ministry to a nonprofit, I was so honored and excited. This is one of the many ways that God is showing us that we are meant to do some pretty amazing things around the world for His glory. My hope with H.O.P.E. Mission Ministry is that we can continue to not only serve and help those that are in need, but to also continue to expand and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We want our words and our actions to reveal the love of Jesus.

Jacklyn (Ciara) Hedrick
Treasurer
My name is Ciara Hedrick and I am originally from Spartanburg, SC who moved to Charleston, SC in the Spring of 2020. I am currently working at Palmetto Goodwill as a Career Navigator II. Every day I get to assist clients with meeting their career goals to achieve financial sustainability. For the last two years I have worked in the non-profit sector with experience in case management and grant writing. Not only do I have a passion for local missions, but I have a passion for foreign missions as well. At 18 years old, I went on my first mission trip to Haiti and ended up staying there for 6 months to love and to teach 19 deaf orphans. Once I returned to the states, I focused on going back to school to further my education. After moving to Charleston, I found my church home where I met Carolyne Carter who introduced me to the mission ministry in Honduras and in the summer of 2023, I obeyed The Lord’s call to go to Honduras for the first time. After that trip, we began to see this ministry grow and expand in ways that we could have never fathomed, which led us to open H.O.P.E Mission Ministry. As followers of the One True King, we believe in the importance of sharing the gospel and loving God’s children around the world and in our own backyards.

Theodore (Ted) Brinkley
Director of Operations
My name is Ted Brinkley. I have a wonderful wife named Tiffany and a superb son named Noah. I have had the pleasure of serving the local community as a public school educator for over 20 years. H.O.P.E. Mission Ministry is a way for me to help serve others outside of the education realm through service and teaching about Jesus. I truly believe that we are meant to move mountains locally, nationally, and abroad. I had the blessing of serving in Honduras during the summer of 2024 and seeing the impact that God’s word can have on all people. I look forward to working with everyone who chooses to join us on this journey and to impact as many people as possible. As it says in Matthew 19:26, with God all things are possible. May God bless you in all facets of your life and lead you to be closer to Him.

Charles (Chad) Butler
Marketing and Programs Manager
My name is Chad Butler. I am married to Brianne. I am the Head Cheerleading Coach at Limestone University. I have been serving on the mission team to Honduras for the past 2 years. It has opened my eyes to the love that Jesus has for me and the people of Honduras (and the world). H.O.P.E. Mission Ministry has opened an opportunity for me to step up in a leadership role and take a bigger part in spreading the Good News about Jesus to the world through our social media platforms and the lessons and activities we take part in through serving. I am excited to see where God lead me, personally, and the teams as the ministry continues to grow!
However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.
